Darko Tanasković
Research Professor PhD 2005, Florida State University darko [dot] tanaskovic [at] scl [dot] rs The research interests of Darko Tanasković cover several topics within condensed matter theory. The main research direction is in the area of strongly correlated electrons, focusing on the transport and thermodynamic properties near the Mott metal-insulator transition. This work is based on the studies of the Hubbard and Anderson lattice model within dynamical mean field theory. These studies are relevant for high-temperature superconductors, two-dimensional high mobility MOSFETs, and more recently for cold atoms on optical lattices and Moire materials. Another line of research are the electron structure and vibrational spectra calculations of various iron based compounds within density functional theory, in close collaboration with experimentalists. Recently, the work also includes studies of the electron-phonon interaction and polaron transport.
