SCL trainees win the international physics prize
The Institute of Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences awarded two out of four "First step to the Nobel prize in physics" awards for 2007 to SCL trainees, Djordje Radicevic for his paper "A New Method for Discovering Analytically Solvable Theories in Quantum Mechanics" and Ugljesa Milic for "Numerical Simulations of the One-Dimensional Freely-Evolving Granular Gas". SCL's Aleksandar Bogojevic and Slobodan Vrhovac were the mentors for these projects conducted within the labs's 2006 training and outreach activities.
As of September 2007 Djordje Radicevic will be enrolled at the Physics Department of Princeton University.
