SCL student Vladimir Slavnic participated in 7th annual International GridKa School that was held in Karslruhe from August 31 to September 4, 2009 and was organized by GridKa and the Steinbuch Centre for Computing (SCC) @ Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), the cooperation of Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe GmbH and Universität Karlsruhe (TH).

GridKa school has covered broad range of topics concerning grid technologies and through the lectures and parallel hands-on session students could learn about new standards in grid arena and try out many things for themselves (from installation and usage of various kinds of middlewares to different virtualization techniques). Also, during the school, visit to Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe Computing Center was organized.
