Mr. Vincenzo Nuti and Mr. Cosimo Gianfreda from E4 Company and Mr. Alessio Nava from Rittal visited SCL on 2 October 2009. They presented profiles of their companies and relevant solutions for HPC and large data centers. Mr. Nava presented in detail cooling and power distribution systems from Rittal, while Mr. Nuti and Mr. Gianfreda presented HPC computing solutions from E4, as well as their experiences in integration and stress-testing of HPC installations. The discussion with SCL members has focused on possible collaboration in the ongoing development of the Blue Danube supercomputing center, specifically in testing and benchmarking different hardware solutions.
