SCL at ICTP HPC school
SCL's Milos Radonjic, Jaksa Vucicevic and Julija Scepanovic attended the Advanced School in High Performance and GRID Computing - Concepts and Applications, organized by the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in Trieste, Italy from 30 November to 11 December 2009. The focus of the school was on parallel programming, porting, benchmarking and optimization of scientific codes requiring high performance computing resources, as well as the use of highly optimized numerical libraries. Researchers and students were introduced to the advanced programming models and optimization techniques during the first week of the school, while in the second week the work has been divided into software lab, hardware lab and GRID lab.
SCL's Antun Balaz has helped in the organization of this school by lecturing on MPI Concepts and Strategies and Grid Computing, and in the GRID lab with the lecture on Job Submission.
