Branislav Nikolic visits SCL
Prof. Dr. Branislav Nikolic from the Department of Physics and Astronomy, Center of Spintronics & Biodetection, University of Delaware (USA), held a series of lectures at the Faculty of Physics, Belgrade from 7 to 11 June. The lectures made up a one-week crash course that included lectures and practical exercises in computer labs. Their purpose was to enable postgraduates and undergraduates in their final year of study to analyze the electronic structure and transport properties of carbon systems that are the focus of research in nano-science in the last five years.
During his stay in Serbia, on Friday, 11 June, he visited the Institute of Physics Belgrade and SCL where Darko Tanaskovic welcomed the guests on behalf of the laboratory. After a tour of the computing facilities he was briefly introduced to main research topics at SCL. He was informed about SCL's High Performance Computing infrastructure, current and future activities and development projects.
