The final stage of preparation of the IMR project proposal "Climate Change and its effects on the Environment - Monitoring, Modeling, Adapting, Mitigating" is in progress in time for the July 12, 2010 deadline. One of the key meetings related to the future project was held at the Scientific Computing Laboratory at the end of June. At the meeting researchers from SCL and the Republic Hydrometeorological Service of Serbia (RHMZ) discussed data flow within the future project, particularly as they relate to climate modeling and numerical simulation. Final discussions were held on the specifics of computation hardware optimized for climate modeling and to be procured by the project.
