SCL's Nikola Grkic participated in this years GridKa School. The 8th International school organized in Karlsruhe was held from Septemeber 6 to Septemeber 10, 2010 and was jointly organized by GridKA, the Steinbuch Centre for Computing (SCC) @ Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), the cooperation of Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe GmbH, and Universität Karlsruhe (TH).

This year's GridKa school covered various topics related to grid and cloud computing. During the school, there was an organized visit to Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe Computing Center, where participants could see and hear about hardware infrastructure at the computing center. Through lectures and parallel hands-on sessions students had the opportunity to learn about new standards and tehnologies in grid and cloud computing. School participants had the opportunity to expand their practical know-how by using and installing various grid (middleware) software.
