SCL's Igor Smolic held a seminar talk entitled "Meteor forensics" dealing with the locating of an exceptionally bright meteor detected over southern Serbia on November 12, 2010. He gave short introduction to the field of meteor astronomy, and presented various observations of the meteor from the Astronomical Station at Vidojevica, Petnica Meteor Group, Institute of Physics Belgrade, and the Seismological survey of Serbia. Preliminary results of meteor atmospheric trajectory, fragmentation height and geographical position, and prospects for meteorite search were presented at the end of talk, as well as the steps that will be taken to hunt for the meteorite fragments.
