SCL, on behalf of IPB, welcomed members of PRACE 1IP WP3 team for their second general face-to-face meeting on  May 24th, 2011.

Work Package 3 ‘Dissemination and Training’ coordinates the dissemination activities which includes:

• exhibitions at major conferences (ISC, SC, ICT),
• production of press releases, public deliverables, documents, presentations, best practice and a quarterly newsletter,
• organising networking sessions and scientific seminars related to European Tier-0 computing typically in collaboration with other similar projects,
• upgrading and maintaining the PRACE web presence to reflect the corporate identity of the PRACE Research Infrastructure,
• establishing and maintaining the infrastructure for the PRACE HPC training portal,
• setting up an extensive training programme including eight seasonal schools at partner locations.

During the meeting WP3 team overviewed current achievements, defined future plans and action points and discussed the ongoing issues and steps to be taken for their resolution.
