SCL's Nenad Vukmirovic participated in PRACE-2IP face to face meeting, which lasted from 2-3 February 2012 at Barcelona Supercomputing Center. The meeting was a part of the PRACE-2IP project Work package 8, devoted to scaling of commonly used scientific community computational codes. During the meeting, the current progress in WP8 was reviewed and plans for future work were discussed.

SCL involvement in WP8 includes the work on Materials Science code Quantum Espresso with a particular focus on the EPW code which is an add-on to Quantum Espresso for electron-phonon interaction calculation, and the work on Climate code NEMO.
