On the occasion of 51st aniversary of IPB, SCL's Ivana Vidanovic has received IPB's 2012 yearly award for best PhD thesis done at the Institute. Ivana's thesis, entitled "Numerical Study of Quantum Gases at Low Temperatures", was defended in December 2011 at the Faculty of Physics, University of Belgrade, under supervision of SCL's Antun Balaz.

On the same occasion, SCL's Antun Balaz has received IPB's 2012 yearly award for financial contribution to the Institute from international projects.
