Sonja Predin
sonja [dot] predin [at] scl [dot] rsAssistant Research Professor Dr. rer. nat. 2017, Universität Regensburg Institute of Physics Belgrade, University of Belgrade Research interests: Sonja Predin’s research focuses on quantum many-body physics and topological quantum systems. Her current work centers on the relation between Zitterbewegung, quantum geometry, and band topology, with particular emphasis on multiband and non-Hermitian quantum systems. She also works on composite-fermion descriptions of fractional quantum Hall states in graphene and on anyon interferometry. Her broader interests include topological phases, superconductivity, and analytical and numerical methods for low-dimensional quantum systems. Research opportunities: Master students interested in theoretical quantum physics are welcome to get in touch. Current topics include: • Zitterbewegung in multiband quantum systems; • anyon interferometry in graphene quantum Hall devices. The projects combine analytical calculations with numerical work. A basic knowledge of quantum mechanics and a willingness to learn are expected; prior research experience is not required. Contact: sonja [at] ipb [dot] ac [dot] rs Recent preprint S.
